To Preserve and Present for Posterity the Artifacts and Stories of the Information Age

18 Jun

Yesterday I received this email from the Computer History Museum looking for donations. If you live in the bay area, and love computers as I do, maybe you can help a little to keep this museum growing.

We Need Your Help

I am writing to ask for your support of the Computer History Museum, home to the largest collection of computing-related artifacts and materials in the world. We have made tremendous progress in the past in our mission to preserve and present for posterity the artifacts and stories of the Information Age. However, with your support, there is still much more that we can do.

The next two years will be critical to the Museum’s future success, as we continue to progress towards the opening of our Timeline of Computing History exhibition in 2009. Gifts from our valued donors, members and volunteers will not only help the Museum’s ongoing collection, restoration, and preservation efforts, but also transform the Museum into the global epicenter of computing history.

If you haven’t already done so, please click here to make your contribution today. You may also contact Membership at 650-810-1026 or membership@computerhistory.org.

Thank you very much in advance for your generous support.

Sincerely,

Gary Malone
Vice President of Development
