Antiquing In The Palo Alto Foothills

One of my favorite hikes is the Black Mountain loop in the Palo Alto Foothills. It’s a mere 45 minutes from where I live, and just far enough from civilization to make you feel secluded…until you reach the top that is, where you are treated to views spanning from San Francisco to San Jose, and straight across the valley, is an imposing view of Mount Diablo.

The Black Mountain loop is slightly more than 3 miles each way, taking about an hour to reach the top moving at a moderate clip, but you will want to slow your pace to take in the scenery as you climb. The hike is so short it’s easy to miss the view around you!

I love this shot Christopher. The Antiquing adds a beauty to it. Very nice!
